About the Artist

Aenid is an independent artist based in the Philippines. Her work is heavily inspired from old travels and everyday moments, in silence and stillness, in rise and fall, in ripples and motion. Her style incorporates depth and flow into her paintings which could only be achieved through multiple layers of additions and subtractions and unyielding patience.

"Aenid", once a teenage pen name, has become the artist's pseudonym to sign artworks years later. Originally working as an analyst in the corporate world, Aenid officially pursued her artistic practice during the pandemic in 2020 and released her first collection a year after. Since then, she has released bodies of work based on experiences and emotions as she explores and grows as an artist. Her creative process and storytelling invites the viewer to connect with her work and serve as a channel to express experiences and emotions of their own.
